We are looking for a Junior Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom Android plugins for our Godot-based mobile games. In this role, you will integrate native Android functionality with the Godot Engine, implement third-party SDKs, optimize plugin performance, and collaborate with the game development team to deliver reliable mobile gaming experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android plugins using the Godot Plugin API.
- Implement communication between the Godot Engine and native Android modules.
- Integrate and maintain third-party SDKs, including advertising, in-app purchases, analytics, and authentication.
- Ensure compatibility, stability, and performance across supported Android devices and OS versions.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize native Android integrations.
- Collaborate with Game Developers, Backend Developers, QA Engineers, and iOS Developers to implement and maintain game features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance.
- Use Git for version control and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of professional Android development experience.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Good understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and the Android application lifecycle.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Additional Skills
- Experience developing plugins for the Godot Engine.
- Experience with mobile game development.
- Familiarity with JNI, Google Play Services, and Google Play Console.
- Knowledge of Android performance optimization and memory management.
- Experience integrating third-party Android SDKs, including advertising, in-app purchases, analytics, or authentication.
