About the Role
We’re looking for a Game UX/UI Designer who’s passionate about crafting engaging, intuitive, and visually stunning player experiences. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing seamless game flows, iterate through prototypes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for innovative creations. Understand players and their pain points, analyze player data, stay updated on UX methodologies, and shape cutting-edge gaming experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and understand players: Who are they? What motivates them? What are their pain points? Validate design decisions and iterate based on feedback.
- Create and maintain scalable design systems in Figma to ensure consistency across game products.
- Perform competitive analysis to understand market trends and player expectations.
- Design game user flows and prototypes. Ensure smooth progression, clear learning curves, and engaging experiences.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, developers, artists, and product managers to bring features to life.
- Design UI animations, transitions, and interaction flows that enhance the user experience.
- Analyze player data and feedback. Identify areas for improvement and inform future design decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with design trends and tools relevant to games, UX/UI trends and methodologies.
Core Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of experience as an UX/UI designer. (Worked on games? That’s even better!)
- Understanding of user-centered design principles, user research, information architecture, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Familiarity with various game genres, mechanics, and player psychology.
- Strong visual design skills with an understanding of UX best practices for mobile devices.
- A knack for identifying and solving usability issues, optimizing player experience, and iterating on designs based on data and feedback.
- Knowledge and Experience in Figma is a must!!
Bonus Qualifications
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of relevant work (Games, UX/UI, Case studies (if any), Visual & Interaction design, etc.)
- Experienced with any game engines.
- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and inclusive design practices.
- Passion for gaming and understanding of current trends and player preferences.
