Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months)
The Junior QA is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and usability of mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms. This role involves executing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, validating fixes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality mobile product. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, a passion for mobile technologies, and willingness to learn modern QA practices and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases and test scenarios for mobile applications.
- Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and usability testing.
- Test mobile applications on different devices, screen sizes, OS versions, and network conditions.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools such as Jira, GitLab or Clickup.
- Verify bug fixes and perform retesting before release.
- Validate app releases on staging and production environments.
- Ensure UI/UX consistency and adherence to product requirements.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to resolve issues efficiently.
- Support automation initiatives and continuously improve QA processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in software quality assurance or mobile application testing.
- Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of mobile application testing concepts for Android and iOS platforms.
- Familiarity with test management and bug-tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail etc.).
- Understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Additional Skills
- Experience with Firebase, analytics tools, or mobile logging tools.
- Basic understanding of automation testing tools such as Appium, Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience testing in-app purchases, notifications, deep links, authentication, and app store release processes.
- Knowledge of performance and compatibility testing for mobile applications.
